COWETA, OK – Walmart is excited to announce a major remodel and expansion of its Coweta Supercenter, located at 11207 S. State Highway 51. This investment will bring a fresh new look and an enhanced shopping experience to the Coweta Community, featuring Walmart’s “Store of the Future” Concept.
This project represents a significant financial investment in the Coweta community and will create approximately 55 new jobs.
The remodeled and expanded store will offer a more modern and convenient shopping experience, with a focus on improved layout, expanded product selection and innovative technology, while keeping staffed registers for customer convenience.
Customers can look forward to:
- A Modern Look and Feel: The store will feature bold new signage and updated displays to make finding products easier and more engaging.
- New Fresh Offerings: The fresh department will be expanded to include exciting new options like in-store sushi, fresh-made tortillas and in-store cut fruit.
- Redesigned Auto Care Center: The Auto Care Center will be redesigned to provide an improved and more efficient customer experience.
- Elevated Beauty and Cosmetics: The Beauty and Cosmetics department will be redesigned with a dedicated service counter to provide personalized assistance to customers.
- Upskilled Home and Fashion: Customers will enjoy an upskilled shopping experience in home décor and housewares, as well as an upskilled fashion department offering premium brands at Walmart’s everyday low prices.
- Major Expansion for Online Shopping: The remodel includes a 5,000-square-foot addition to dramatically expand the Online Pickup and Delivery Area. This will allow Walmart to fulfill more online grocery orders and serve customers more efficiently than ever before.
- Upgraded Pharmacy: The pharmacy will be redesigned with wider aisles, a new private screening room for consultations and a dedicated privacy checkout area.

The grand re-opening of the remodeled Coweta Walmart is planned for October 2, 2026. The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and other community events.
