City of Coweta launches grant program for local businesses
The City of Coweta Community Development Department is proud to introduce our new Small Business Beautification & Building Improvement Grant Program! This program is designed to help local small businesses improve their buildings, increase curb appeal, and continue investing in Coweta's future. Eligible businesses may receive a 50/50 matching grant to help fund exterior improvements, including (but not limited to): • Exterior painting • Signage • Doors and windows • Flooring •
Emergency Service Providers Benefit from Harp's Fundraiser
Last week, our chamber investors at Harps Food Stores - Coweta, OK presented checks to the Coweta Police and Coweta Fire departments from their June in-store fundraiser. Manager Mick Grillot said the fire department will put funds toward a device to detect body heat in a structure fire. The police department will use funds to purchase equipment for their K9 officer, Braxton. Boots & Badges Blood Drive Deemed a Success
Congratulations to the Coweta Police Department, winner of the 2026 Boots & Badges Community Blood Drive Challenge! It was a close contest on June 26, with nine donors rolling up their sleeves in honor of the Coweta Police Department and seven donors giving blood in honor of the Coweta Fire Department. Holly Park with Our Blood Institute said OBI’s goal was to collect 17 pints of life-saving blood. There were 10 pre-signs and 18 donors registering the day of the drive.
