SUMMARY:2023 OSU Extension to offer Cow-Calf Management Course
DESCRIPTION:The OSU Extension Service will be hosting a three-day Crash Course on Cow-Calf Management in July. \n\n			\n\n			This is a three-day short course that will benefit seasoned producers as well as those new to cow-calf management. Topics will include cattle behavior\, general management practices\, herd health and vaccinations\, reproduction management\, calving management and herd nutrition.\n\n			\n\n			The following schedule is noted:\n\n			\n\n			July 26   Cattle Health\, presented by Taylor Holmquest\, Extension Ag Educator with the Wagoner County OSU Extension Service.\n\n			\n\n			July 27   Calving and Reproduction\, presented by Dr. Barry Whitworth\, Area Food and Animal Quality Health Specialist.\n\n			\n\n			July 28   Herd Nutrition\, presented by Earl Ward\, Area Extension Specialist for Livestock.\n\n			\n\n			If all three days are attended\, participants will be entered to win a starter calving kit\n\n			\n\n			Pre-registration deadline is July 24 to ensure there are adequate complimentary snacks.
